About Sol Harris
Born and raised in Somerset, UK, Sol received his first computer – a ZX81 – in 1982 at the tender age of twelve. The first program he wrote was a simple 10 line code that provided a greeting to anyone who typed their name. From then on, the obsession with programming and computers gathered pace! After getting his Bachelor degree, he changed tack to work in IT, marketing and communications. In 1994 he joined BT PLC (British Telecom) in London and quickly became a successful Account Director, managing multi-million dollar accounts such as The Boston Consulting Group, Chanel (perfumes) and Hamleys of London.
Sol worked and travelled the world in his IT role for BT PLC and for Glaxo Smithkline. In 2002, during a “gap year” he “accidentally discovered” New Zealand and Waiheke Island (see News article!), where he has been based ever since.
He is married with three children and is passionately involved in a variety of local community organisations. He actively works with children in his spare time, providing soccer coaching and is also a warranted and police checked Cubs Leader with waihekeseascouts.org.nz
Sol was Chairman at the Waiheke Recreation Centre for two and a half years and is also a Trustee at Whittaker’s Musical Museum.
Here’s a media article, written by The Gulf News (a local Waiheke Island newspaper) – that tells a little story about Sol.
Working Together
When you contact us, we realise you may not have all the answers. Naturally, every customer is different and each has different requirements, budgets and time-scales.
We will take the time to work with you, to consult with you – either via Skype, over the phone, or face to face – to fully understand your requirements, project brief and discuss your business objectives.
We will provide you with written recommendations, including an estimate of costs.
Once we have decided to work together, we will provide you with a clear framework of what will happen and when. Together, we will create agreed objectives, a schedule of work, specific milestones and an overall time-frame.
