The Waiheke Health Trust is an essential service organisation on Waiheke Island and Purple Dog is delighted to have worked with them on their new Waiheke Website Project.
The Heath Trust provides the community with access to a wide range of health related resources including medical professionals, specialist consultants and a well connected referral network.
Recognising that the information about the trust and the services they offer was out of date, the management team contacted Purple Dog to discuss the possibility of a website refresh.
Sol of Purple Dog met with the team and together, they worked on a newly designed website that would ultimately provide a more attractive, easy to use and of course, more up-to-date place to find detailed information about the kind of services on offer.
One of the key ingredients for a Health organisation is the trust and integrity of staff from the visitors point of view. What better way to help reinforce the professionalism of the team, than by way of individual profile pages? Sol took portrait photos of each team member – along with several group photos – in order to be able to present website visitors with a more personalised and detailed understanding of the people behind the Trust.
Taking photos of staff is always fun – and challenging, but Sol has the right gear and the cheerful approach to make it work.
During the process of working on the new Waiheke website project for the Trust, it became clear that some users of the service would like to be able to make donations. It was decided to provide visitors with the ability to make donations online – either one-off amounts, or on a regular, recurring basis through a subscription. Donations are of course something that are always welcomed by charitable organisations, and this one is no exception. Funding is always being stretched across multiple demands – and most organisations are constantly looking at how to balance budgets.
With the new donations system in place, visitors who are connected to Waiheke Island – whether locally or internationally through family living here – are now able to make single or ongoing donation payments, whether in gratitude or as a bequeath. Ironically, as synchronicity would have it – the very first donation was made on the day the new website went live!
Purple Dog was pleased to be able to work on the Waiheke website project for the Waiheke Health Trust and was happy to be able to work with them on a discounted rate basis, given they are a registered charity. The team had this to say:
The feedback on our website has been excellent. Thank you for all your hard work.
