There are two ways to reset your password in WordPress.
1. Use the forgotten password form on the login screen:
- simply type in your website login address as follows: www.example.com/LOGIN (replace example.com with your actual domain name)
- You will then be transferred to the login page where you can enter your username and password. If you don't recall these credentials, you should see a "Lost Your Password?" link underneath the login form, on the page.
- Click on the "Lost Your Password?" link and you will then need to enter the email address associated to your admin account (if you don't recall your email address, you will need to contact us).
- Once you've entered your email, you will receive a password reset link at that address. When you click on the reset password link in the email, you will then be able to choose a new password.
CAUTION: Since the login link is easy to find by anyone, you should always ensure that your username and password are strong, using a mixture of numbers and characters. Never use simple passwords like admin or 12345 as these are easy to guess and can lead to your site being hacked.

2. Change or update your password inside the admin section
- You should be logged in, and at your dashboard.
- In the menu in the left hand column, click on Users / Your Profile.
- Click on Your Profile. Scroll all the way down.
- Where it says New Password, enter your new password - PLEASE NOTE THE CAUTION ABOVE.
- Re-enter the password in the box below.
- The strength indicator will tell you how strong your password is.
- Click the Update Profile button at the bottom left corner. Your profile page now says User updated.
